A Study of Mindfulness, Life Skills and Work Engagement amongst Corporate Managers.

  • Purpose of the Study:

    You are being invited to take part in this research study on mindfulness. Before you decide to participate, it is important that you understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. Please read the following information carefully

    The purpose of this study is to measure the impact of mindfulness on life skills and work engagement amongst corporate managers. To fulfill this purpose, this booklet consists of four short questionnaires. There is no time limit to complete the survey as such, but each questionnaire will take you approximately 5-6 minutes to complete, and the overall survey will not take more than 20 minutes to complete. Detailed instructions are given at the beginning of every questionnaire.

  • Potential Risks and Benefits:

    There are NO anticipated risks involved in the study. There will be no direct benefit to you for your participation in this study. However, the information obtained from this study may help the body of knowledge in psychology and management for a better understanding of impact of mindfulness at workplace in the Indian context, and of course, help the researcher with her doctoral work on the same. Also, you can use your scorecard generated at the end of the survey for self-assessment and personal development.

  • Confidentiality of your responses:

    Before starting the survey, you will be required to provide some demographic information about yourself, which will be kept completely confidential and won’t be shared with anybody. Anonymity of your responses on all the questionnaires will also be maintained, with your scores used strictly for research purposes, only by the researcher of this study. No third-party will know about your performance on the questionnaires. Every effort will be made by the researcher to preserve your confidentiality. Participant data will be kept confidential except in cases where the researcher is legally obligated to report specific incidents.

  • Voluntary participation:

    Your participation in this study is voluntary. If you decide to take part in this study, you will be asked to sign a consent form given on the next page.

  • Your Rights:

    You have the right to withdraw from this study at any time and without giving any reason. You will not be penalized for withdrawing from the study.
